Hardin has agreed to surrender his law license voluntarily instead of facing proceedings where it could be revoked, the AP has reported in this story, which the Sun Sentinel has posted.

Hardin forging a document to make it appear that three upper-level administrators had authorized him to take out $300,000 in early retirement. He received $198,000, which he has repaid.
